Matthew Crowley Secures Second Place in Winter Haven City Commission Seat #4 Race, Advances to December 2 Runoff

Winter Haven, FL – Matthew Crowley has earned a strong second-place finish in the November 4 election for Winter Haven City Commission Seat #4, officially advancing to a runoff election against top vote-getter Chad Davis on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

With all 6 participating precincts fully reported, Crowley received 1,731 votes (40.65%)—including 688 Election Day votes and 1,043 Vote By Mail ballots—finishing just behind Davis’s 2,043 votes (47.98%). Third-place candidate Manuel Fonseca received 484 votes (11.37%), triggering an automatic runoff under Florida law since no candidate secured a majority.

"This result is a powerful message from Winter Haven voters who want leadership that puts people first—not the powerful or well-connected," said Matthew Crowley. "Nearly 41% of voters chose our vision for transparent government, safer neighborhoods, and real solutions for working families. We’re energized, organized, and ready to earn every vote in the runoff."

Crowley’s campaign outperformed expectations in a three-way race, building a broad coalition of neighbors, small business owners, and families who share his commitment to accountability and community-driven progress. Crowley continued: “Winter Haven deserves honesty and accountability, not backroom self-dealing. We will continue to hold Chad Davis accountable—just as we did when we exposed his PAC’s alleged violation of Florida election law—and fight for the transparent leadership our city needs.”
