Matthew Crowley Stands with the Hispanic Community, Calls for Local Leadership to Protect Residents

Winter Haven, FL - In response to today's increased law enforcement activity in migrant-heavy areas of Polk County, Matthew Crowley, candidate for Winter Haven City Commission Seat 4, released the following statement:

"I stand with the Hispanic community of Winter Haven.

Every resident deserves to feel safe, valued, and respected. No one should live in fear because of their background or the language they speak. Local leaders have a responsibility to ensure that our community is protected from actions that threaten the safety and dignity of our neighbors. I call on our city and county officials to provide clear guidance, oversight, and reassurance to all residents, especially those who are most vulnerable."

Crowley emphasized the need for local leadership to take proactive steps to protect residents, promote trust between law enforcement and the community, and ensure Winter Haven remains an inclusive, welcoming city for everyone.
